Goldstein, Melvyn C., and William R. Siebenschuh. The Struggle for Modern Tibet the Autobiography of Tashi Tsering. Armonk, N.Y.: M.E. Sharpe, 1997. Print. This book told a story about a young man who was selected by the Tibetan government to be a ceremonial dancer for the Dalai Lama. He was later imprisoned during the war with China. This book gave insightful information about the war and gave the citizens perspective of the war. This was useful information to incorporate into my website.

This newspaper gives information about a Tibetan prisoner Dhondup Wangyal. He was imprisoned by the Chinese during the Tibetan war with China fighting for freedom. This article shows some of the things that the Tibetans did to protest against the Chinese soldiers and gives citizens point of view in the fighting for Tibetan rights. This was more information that could be put onto my website.

Gangi, Carol. The Dalai Lama His Essential Wisdom. New York: Fall River, 2007. Print. This book gave information on the Dalai Lamas’ early life all the way into his more recent activities. Later in the book, it tells how the Dalai Lama leads his country to peace with the Peoples Republic of China. It tells about the good and bad times that the Dalai Lama went through trying to gain rights for his country. This give me information for the mere recent section of my website.
Smith, Warren W. China's Tibet?: Autonomy or Assimilation. Lanham, Md.: Rowman & Littlefield, 2008. Print. This book gave information on the war with the Tibets. This book is different from other books because it gives information from the Chinese point of view. How the Chinese took action on Tibet when they tried to split from the nation. Over all it tells why the Chinese didn't want Tibet to be free from their rule. This helped me form the body of my website using the Chinese point of view.
The Dragon in the Land of Snows: A History of Modern Tibet since 1947. New York: Columbia UP, 1999. Print. This book was a really great source giving information about the war. It gave plenty of information about the Dalai Lama's efforts to prevent and stop the war between Tibet and China, and it gave information about the Dalai Lama life and his struggles trying to take his place as religious leader. This book gave me the information for the “Taking Control” section of my website.

This book gives tells about the history of Tibet. It contains records and first hand accounts written by none other than the Tibetan people themselves. It contains interviews from former soldiers, citizens, and leaders during the war with China. This gave lots of information from the people of Tibet that I could use to highlight the citizens point of view in my website.

This website gives me information that I could use to describe the actions of the Dalai Lama during the war with China in my website.
